MIGRATING STUDIOS

This ongoing project aims to capture the stories of people from migrant communities residing in countries around the Mediterranean. The goal is to challenge any discourse that dehumanizes migrants and portrays them as a faceless, threatening mass movement. 

Behind the term "migration" lie unique and rich human stories which this  project sets out to document in a participative manner, bringing migrant voices to the center of a conversation that has been going on without them.

This project was selected by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) as part of a national competition for addressing prejudices about migrants in creative ways. It has received a small grant for early stage implementation.
